Will it fit MY rake?
Your new Widerake will fit a variety of rake heads. However! Even the rake it was designed for can get bent over time, and may need some adjustment to fit properly. Sometimes you may need to bend a tine or two to get your Widerake to slide on easily. A new 13.5" bow rake should fit perfectly.
What kind of jobs is it good for?
The Widerake was born as a screed rake for placing flat concrete. It eliminates the need to drag a board across the surface in many cases. What's more is that the Widerake makes a VERY effective landscaping rake at a fraction of the cost and is much more easily stored when not in use.
Why don't I just make my own?
You could make your own Widerake out of ABS pipe. However, our material does not have to be certified for plumbing and that gives a real cost benefit. Another factor we pride ourselves in there is zero waste in our manufacturing process. Making Widerakes from pieces of pipe creates all kinds of chips and swarf.
